Book Review - Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Identities and Youth: Psychological Perspectives

The essays in this volume explore the psychological dimensions of lesbian, gay, and bisexual identities from puberty to adulthood. The essays focus upon three general areas: theoretical frameworks that are important in understanding the development of sexual orientation in adolescence, challenges faced by lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) youth, and issues related to interventions and services for LGB youths in community settings. Changes in biological processes, relationships, and community interactions influence the emergence of sexuality in all young people. The process is more complex and difficult for LGB teenagers. Fortunately, the cultural changes that have allowed LGB youths to become more open about themselves at earlier ages have also allowed social and behavioral scientists the opportunity to study them. This volume presents authoritative, research-based reviews of this ever-increasing area of study and social concern.

Book Review - Lesbian Sex Tips: A Guide for Anyone Who Wants To Bring Pleasure to the Woman She (Or He) Loves

SHE Magazine Cover to Cover Review

"This is much more than a book offering encouragement, or advice or the sharing of the authors' own personal experiences, it is a book that offers practical "hands on, and how to" instructions for loving a woman properly. That includes respectfully loving ourselves as women, while we safely make love to each other. The chapter "Plain Talk About Safer Sex" was eye opening, and while the writing style is humorous, hopefully everyone reading this excellent book will take the need to practice "safer sex" to heart while taking the object of their desires to bed."

Book Review - The Straight Girl's Guide to Sleeping with Chicks

"You can't swing a dead cat at a bridal shower without hitting a straight chick who's slept with another woman, who's thought about it, or who's ready to make the move as soon as someone breaks out the booze."

Such are the incisive pearls of wisdom to be heard from straight chick and girl-on-girl dabbler Jen Sincero, author of The Straight Girl's Guide to Sleeping with Chicks. A deliciously sexy how-to guide, it gives curious straight women the complete inside scoop on girl-on-girl action -- from pickup lines and virgin jitters to threesomes, techniques, and toys. Drawing on personal experience and hundreds of interviews with straight girls who've slept with lesbians, straight girls who've slept with straight girls, lesbians who've slept with straight girls, and straight girls who've done both or neither, Sincero covers the A to Z of the experience including:
